Project for rear extension to a period home in Chiswick, London. The ground floor is rationalised to provide a small lobby area with space for coats and a small hand basin, a small guest loo and utility space are provided behind it making use of dead space under the stairs. Entering further into the house the kitchen and living space are linked, but remain distinct, with the front of the house arranged  as a formal sitting area. To the rear the kitchen surrounds a large island worktop with seating and storage along a toplit gallery corridor leading to the dining area and garden beyond.

A large ocular window looks out across the garden, linked with a circular rooflight above and focusing on a  fruit blossom tree to observe the seasons change.
